Hello! I'm Andrea Robin (she/her), an inclusive learning designer in Vancouver, Canada, located on the traditional, ancestral, unceded, and occupied territory of the Coast Salish peoples including the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (Hunkameanumn) speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people. I have a passion for implementing accessible, evidence-driven integrated learning programs aimed at supporting individual development and fostering organizational change.
In my career, I've contributed to various initiatives, such as designing learning programs for TRIUMF, facilitating grant-funded Work Learn programs at UBC, and supporting STEAM education with Science World. I've also provided personalized facilitation at Emily Carr University in art and technology programs. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding of how to create learning environments where all students can thrive.
But my journey doesn't stop there. I'm a dedicated learner, striving to improve my knowledge and skills. My focus is on continued education in accessibility, disability, and accommodation (ADA) and social science. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from Emily Carr University, examining societal interpretations of culture. Additionally, I apply skills from certificates in UX Design and Systems Design, among others.
integrated learning labs is more than just a website; it's a platform for sharing, learning, and growing. It's a space where I work to not only recount experiences and offer resources but also share what I'm learning about the science and research that underpins them. Because at the heart of it all, I believe in the transformative power of learning – the ability to look at a problem, explore it from different angles, and derive solutions that make a real difference.
I invite you to join me on this journey of discovery. Let's explore the fascinating world of learning together.
Welcome to integrated learning labs!
